Does someone need a hug?
I?m serious!
National Hugging Day? is in two weeks, and I want to pay it forward to help some people who could use a pick-me-up.
An incredible thing happened last month in the wake of the tragedy in Newtown, Ct. People started doing kind things for others. For perfect strangers. People started doing random acts of kindness. Some people took a cue from Ann Curry and did an act of kindness for each of Newtown?s victims. (I plan to write about this later as part of the Global Team of 200.)
In the spirit of both National Hugging Day and doing kind things for others, please join me to give others a hug. Here?s the scoop:
Give a hug by giving KIND
1. KIND Healthy Snacks ? which is always doing kind things as a matter of course ? wants to donate an entire case of drool-worthy new KIND Dark Chocolate Nuts & Sea Salt bars to someone who needs a hug. That?s 72 bars! Isn?t that super kind? I love KIND snacks because they are gluten-free and all-natural.

Nominate someone who needs a hug with a blog post
2. If you have a blog or other site, write a post about someone you know who needs a hug. You don?t have to get too personal about their issues, but please make sure to mention and link to this post (http://tropichomeandfamily.com/2013/01/who-needs-a-hug-make-someones-day-and-win.html) and post by Saturday, Jan. 19. You can even use this button code if you like:

I will randomly choose five people to receive a Hallmark gift card so you can give a card or keepsake to the person who needs a hug. Just make sure I have a way to reach you if you?re the winner.
